Patricia "Pat" Murphy Tyler, 79, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Slidell.

Patricia was born February 7, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio. She retired from teaching at Slidell Junior High School in 2001.  She volunteered for over twenty years with the Good Samaritan Ministry at St. Luke Church, where she was a parishioner for 38 years.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Jerome Tyler.

She is survived by three children, Monica Tyler, Margaret Tyler, Catherine Tonry (Richard); four grandchildren, Hannah Tonry Zulli (Blake), Claire Tonry, Richard Tonry III, Patrick Tonry; sisters, Fran Murphy Zadel, Ann Murphy Shahan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Crossgates Blvd, Slidell, Louisiana, on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 11:00am.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am.

Burial will be in Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Good Samaritan Ministry at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church.
