Patricia Lemoine Vollenweider, 86, a longtime resident of Chalmette, Louisiana, and a recent resident of Opelika, Alabama and Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, in Slidell.
Mrs. Vollenweider was preceded in death by her husband Howard Vollenweider, Sr.; her parents: Anne and Weston Lemoine; and her brothers: Gene Lemoine and Weston "Chip" Lemoine.
She is survived by her four children: Vicki Vollenweider Davis, Howard Vollenweider, Jr. (Kimberly), Robert Vollenweider (Stacey), Glen Vollenweider (Margaret); nine grandchildren: Mandy Broussard (Ryan), Misty Ross (Jared), Mallory Rodrigue (Geoff), Andrew Vollenweider, Benjamin Vollenweider (Emily), Sarah Sterling, Corey Vollenweider (Mandy), Matthew Vollenweider, and Joseph Vollenweider; and eleven great-grandchildren: Kane Broussard, Greyson Broussard, Carter Broussard, Chloe Ross, Peyton Ross, Reagan Rodrigue, Gauge Rodrigue, Leah Vollenweider, Macy Vollenweider, Noah Vollenweider, and James Vollenweider.
A native of New Orleans, Mrs. Vollenweider was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School, where she served as an officer (as class historian) and reigned as the homecoming queen, in her senior year. She volunteered at St. Mark's Elementary School, where her children attended, and was an employee of the USDA - National Finance Center for 25 years. She felt passionately about her family.
The family is grateful to the many caregivers at Passages Hospice, Summerfield Senior Living, Integra Care Medical Staffing, and Anderson at Summerfield.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Honaker Funeral Home 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460, on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00am.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell, at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
