Paul Carter Black, age 56 of Kiln, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, the 15th of September 2023 at Ochsner Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana. He was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Paul received his academic and vocational automobile repair diplomas in 1985 from Thomas B. Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, CO. He went on to receive an associate degree in Automotive/Diesel Technology in 1987 from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. He was an automobile mechanic for fifteen years.

Paul's employment experience included building and property management, general and independent contracting, carpentry, painting, swimming pool maintenance, plumbing, commercial and residential property maintenance.

Starting in January of 2020, Paul joined the Saint Stanislaus College family as a full-time Facilities Technician. Working with this tight-knit group of professionals he was able to use his acquired skill set to keep the campus at Saint Stanislaus looking and functioning at its best.

He was very fond of all animals, but his cats Jan-Jan and Shin-Chan were his greatest joy.

Paul was preceded in death by his father, Paul Edward Black. He is survived by his wife, Stephani Beslin Black, mother, Barbara Consuelo Roybal Black, brother, Bryon Black, sister-in law, Pamela Black and stepsister, Paulette Black Keller, uncle, Richard Roybal and aunt, Ora Roybal and a host of cousins, aunts and uncles.

In addition to his immediate family, he leaves behind many dear lifelong friends.

During Paul's time here with us he made us smile and found his way into everyone's heart. Paul, we will always love and miss you.

Friends are cordially invited to the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, September 29, 2023, Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln-Delisle Rd, Pass Christian, MS. 39571 at 10:00am.  Following the service, a small repast will be held.
