Peggy Lillian Lowe, age 70, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at her residence.

Peggy was born on June 8, 1953, to the late Leon and Angeline Dean Lowe. Peggy grew up and attended school in Slidell, Louisiana and graduated from Slidell High School in 1971. She began her college education at Pearl River Community College and transferred to Southeastern Louisiana University, earning a bachelor's degree in elementary education.

Peggy began her teaching career in the St. Tammany Parish school system, teaching at Alton Elementary School. Peggy later taught at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. Peggy loved teaching her second graders and always said she loved helping them prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. Peggy was a faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, participated in weekly adoration in the chapel, and taught CCD for many years.

Peggy enjoyed traveling. She especially enjoyed her trip to the Holy Land and to Europe. Peggy loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and their children. Peggy owned and loved several dogs and other animals throughout her life. Peggy also enjoyed spending time at her family farm in Mississippi.

Peggy is survived by her brothers, Lorre (Peggy) Lowe, Rodney (Rose Mary) Lowe, and Toby (Genelle) Lowe. Nieces and nephews, Erin (Patrick) Abercrombie, Brad (Erin) Lowe, Kristen (Nathan) Jordan, Woody Lowe, and Morgan (Doug) Conravey. Great nieces and nephews, Ethan, Alex, Christopher, Emily, Alexandra, Addison, Kacie, Mason, Jackson, and Madelyn.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations in the name of Peggy Lowe to the SMH Regional Cancer Center.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at 11:30 A.M.

Interment to follow in TURTLESKIN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church on Tuesday after 9:30 A.M. until funeral time.
