Philip Paul Bourgeois III, 61, of Bush, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 9th, 2024. Philip was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 17, 1962, to his parents, Philip Paul Bourgeois Jr., and Alida "Lee" Bourgeois.
Philip honorably and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1982 -1993. He had a passion for fishing, traveling, sports, and attending 80's rock band concerts. Philip was a proud member of the KISS army who he considered to be "the greatest band in the world," while also collecting a lot of their memorabilia. Philip also loved spending time away at his condo in Costa Rica, which he considered to be his second home.
Philip Paul Bourgeois III is survived by his sons, Philip Paul Bourgeois IV (Heather), and Joshua Matthew Bourgeois; his granddaughter, Isabella Rose Bourgeois; his mother, Alida "Lee" Bourgeois; his brothers, Justin Patrick Bourgeois, and Jason Theodore Bourgeois. Philip also leaves behind numerous nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends. Philip will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him. Philip is preceded in death by his father, Philip Paul Bourgeois Jr.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,
1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA, on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 3:00 P.M.
Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday after 1:00 P.M. until funeral time.
Interment will follow the rendering of Military Honors on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 9:00 A.M. at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Rd. Slidell, LA.
