Preston John Lange, aged 25 of Slidell, LA passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022, surrounded by family. He was born on October 28,1997 alongside his twin brother, Payton. Preston is survived by his mother, Monique L'abbe Lange, his father Alton Lange Jr., a brother Payton Lange (Jourdan) and a nephew Aiden Lange.

Preston graduated from Salmen High School's Special Education program, Class of 2020. He won several blue and red ribbons in the high school Special Olympics. Even though he suffered with severe autism and was non-verbal, Preston was best known for his affectionate smile and gentle nature that was loved by all whom he encountered. All he saw was joy and happiness in others and he never met a stranger, always greeted them with his famous high-fives, many reciprocated. He loved the LSU Tigers even though he didn't understand what they were. Preston also loved to dance, sing, skip and jump to whatever music was playing. "Riding" was his favorite, whether it be a jet ski, boat, 4-wheeler, golf cart, wagon, even a push lawn mower meant riding to him. He was always so gentle and kind to all of the young children he encountered, especially his nephew Aiden.

Visitation and service will be at Crossfire Church at 2020 Elsie Drive, Slidell, La., on Friday, December 30, 2022, from 9am-10am with the service following.

A private burial will be held afterwards at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 1751 Gause Blvd., West, Slidell.

In lieu of flowers, the Lange family has requested donations to Savannah Smiles and/or STARC of Louisiana.
