Richard P. Berkowitz, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025.  He was born on December 22, 1940, in New York City, New York.

He is preceded in death by his parents Morris Berkowitz and Margaret Stabile Berkowitz, as well as his brother Philip Berkowitz.

He is survived by his spouse; Mary Dellsperger Berkowitz, his sons; Dr. Wayne Berkowitz (Sloan) and Michael Berkowitz, his grandchildren; Matthew, Olivia, William, and Timothy, and four great-grandchildren.

Prior to his retirement he was Principal of Pope John Paul II High School in Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 1050 Robert Blvd. Slidell, LA on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation on December 3, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. with Catholic Funeral Mass to follow.

Private interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
