Robert "Bob" Warren Turner

With deepest of sorrows, we announce the passing of Robert (Bob) Warren Turner, of Slidell, LA on August 21, 2026.

Bob was born on November 19, 1935 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Bob served in the Army National Guard, and was a member of the Junior Chamber Jaycee's. He was employed by South Central Bell retiring from Management in 1993.

While working for South Central Bell, Bob met the Love of his Life Ellen Montgomery and got married. They lived an amazing joyful life full of Love, Faith and Adventure (true world travelers). They were inseparable for 45 years.

Bob leaves a legacy of passion of his Catholic Faith and Church. He was active in numerous events for Catholic Charities and was a Eucharistic Minister. He and Ellen were very active in volunteering at Our Lady of Lourdes in Slidell. They enjoyed their church "family" and friends.

Bob was proceeded in death by his father Murray Schenck and Mother Heloise; his wife Ellen Montgomery; his son, Brad Gonzalez, and his Grandson Turner Bryant. He is survived by his daughter, Terri (Lester); brother, John (Linda); granddaughters, Cody Gannon and Casey Gonzalez; as well as two great-grandchildren, Bradley Gannon and Ella Parker Tusa. He is also survived by his niece, nephew and numerous extended family members. He will be deeply missed as a loving father, brother, Grandpa Bob and a true friend.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church,400 Westchester Place, Slidell, LA. 70458 on September 19, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

Visitation at the church will begin at 9:30 a.m.

In Lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell, La.
