Rodney R. Gonzales, 88, of Lacombe, Louisiana, passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in Slidell.

Rodney was born January 26, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Oscar and Jennie Alange Gonzales, and was a resident of Lacombe since 1947.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lacombe.

Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Jennie Gonzales; two brothers, Oscar Gonzales Jr., Edwin Hale Gonzales; two sisters, Estelle Nicosia, and Anna Elliot.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty H. Gonzales; four children, Bruce Gonzales (Betty), Bryan Gonzales, Rick Gonzales (Carol), Michael Gonzales (Sue); two grandchildren, Nicole Gonzales, Natasha Gonzales; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Friday, March 11, 2022, at 2:00pm.

Friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 12:00 noon.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
