Remembering Ronald Paul Johnson: A Life Embraced with Love and Laughter

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ronald Paul Johnson, who departed this world on December 3, 2025. Son of the late Amy and Lloyd Johnson and grandfather to the late Jaden Tamburello. While our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in honoring a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter and cherished memories.

A Gentle and Humorous Soul

Born on June 15, 1950, in Kinder, Louisiana, Ronald was a beacon of warmth and kindness. His gentle spirit and infectious laughter brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He had the remarkable ability to uplift others, offering comfort and support with open arms.

Family First

Above all else Ronald treasured his role as a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Helen, his partner and confidant through life's joys and challenges. As a doting father to Patricia (William), Jackie (Mark), Jeremiah (Tina), Kim (Candice) and Shane he instilled in them the values of compassion, resilience, and unwavering love. His love for all of his grandchildren was immeasurable; Christopher, Joshua, Isabella, Mia, Cadence, Abigail, Julia, Landon, Rylan, Marisa, Paul, Courtney, Ben, Jay and Justin and his 3 great grandchildren. His love for his sisters and brothers was pure, Brenda, Mike, Pam, and Merrill. His presence will forever resonate in their hearts.

Cherished Memories

In his free-spirited nature Ronald embraced life's adventures with enthusiasm and childlike joy. He owned a monkey for a while when Patricia, Jackie and Jeremiah were younger named Charlie. The monkey used to escape the house and run down to the candy store on the corner causing all kinds of chaos for them. He loved taking his kids fishing and hunting, telling Kim and Shane they were good and quiet hunters, while saying taking Jackie and Jeremiah hunting was like dragging a tree behind him. He always tried finding humor in every situation and loved talking and telling stories about his youth; the time he served in the military and history, saying the history books have some things wrong. On one of our trips back from Maryland there was snow on the side of the road, we were so excited since we had never seen snow, he let us collect the snow and put it in the ice chest to save for when we got home, only to find by the time we made it home it had melted. He loved to let us learn things in our own time and our own way. From family vacations to spontaneous outings, he created countless cherished memories that will forever be in our hearts.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 ROBERT BLVD, Slidell, LA. 70458. on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 12:00 P.M.

Visitation will take place from 11:00 to 12:00 P.M. with Catholic Mass to follow.

Interment to follow Catholic Funeral Mass at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery beginning at 1:30 P.M.
