Ronald Lynn Merlino, 77, a longtime resident of New Orleans, and a resident of Slidell since 2008, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Greenbriar Skilled Nursing Center in Slidell.

Ronald was born July 6, 1945, in California. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout (BSA), graduated from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia, and earned his law degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. After practicing law, he worked and retired from Servicemaster.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Jesus Hicks; two sons, Brian Merlino, Ronald Merlino Jr.; and a brother, Dennis Merlino.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 1050 Robert Blvd in Slidell.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am.
