Rose Mary Miceli Schembre, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She was 86 years old.

Rose was born in New Orleans on Thursday, May 14, 1936 to the late Vincent Miceli and Antoinette Badalamenti Miceli. She graduated from John McDonogh High School. She was married to the late Joseph A. Schembre for 57 years and they had three children.

Rose, a resident of Slidell and a long-time member of several bridge clubs on the Northshore, achieved the status of Ruby Life Master with the American Contract Bridge Association. She also loved golf and was a member of Pine Wood Golf Club and Millbrook Country Club. Rose had a love for music, painting and the performing arts. She also enjoyed online bridge, going to the casino and was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints.

She is survived by her children, Pamela Schembre Green (Mike), Joseph A. Schembre, Jr. (Melanie) and Phyllis Schembre Mistric (Cory), and five grandchildren, Andrew J. Westbrook, J. Michael Green, III, Angela M. Schembre, Allison M. Schembre and Cameron S. Westbrook.  She is also survived by sister, Kathleen Miceli; brother, Joseph Miceli; brothers-in-law, John B. Schembre (Jean), Anthony J."Tony" Schembre (Sharon), sister-in-law, Janet Schembre Daspit and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell LA 70460.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am followed by the memorial service at 11:00am.
