Rosemary Hendricks McManus, age 71, of Slidell, LA, passed away at her home on September 12, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy David McManus, Jr. her parents, Donald and Virginia Hendricks; her brothers Larry and Earl Hendricks; and her grandson, Mason James McManus.

She is survived by her six children, Sarah Maine (Bo), Rebecca Henley (Jeremy), Matthew McManus (Lauren), Roy McManus (Jacqueline), Rachel Stokes (Justin) and Nathan McManus (Kylie); her grandchildren, Emily, Bo and Gabriella Maine; Riley, Paisyn and Kayleigh McManus; Roy, Lily and Gemma McManus; Ella and Bennett Stokes; Layne and Abel McManus, as well as her brothers, Dennis and Michael Hendricks.

Rosemary was a 55+ year resident of Slidell and long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and more recently St. Luke Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and devoted wife.  Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, and sewing, which she loved to share with her family. Her loved ones will forever remember and cherish her selfless love and devotion. She could always be relied on to help ease the pain of those around her by her words of encouragement or her witty sense of humor. For the last several years, Rosemary struggled with dementia.  Her family is at peace knowing she is with the Lord and her loved ones who have gone before her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church, 910 Cross Gates Blvd. Slidell, LA 70461 on Monday, September 18, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.

Interment to follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church on Monday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.
