Ross L. Kent Jr., 67, a longtime resident of Slidell, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, in Columbia, Mississippi.

Ross was born January 2, 1955, in North Carolina, to Ross Kent Sr. and Ellen Scarborough.  Ross was a graduate of Slidell High School where he met the love of his life, Nancy Phelps, whom he married in March of 1977.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and a brother, Steve Kent.

He is survived by two children, Katie Vance (Cecil), Megan St. Cyr (Brian); five grandchildren, Hailey Vance, Cameron St. Cyr, Madeline St. Cyr, Emilee Vance, Braylen St. Cyr; two sisters, Roslyn Stevens, Ellen Barrow; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana 70460.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon followed by the memorial service at 2:00pm.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
