Rudolph John "Boy" Kennedy went to be with our Lord on March 29, 2026, at the age of 91. He passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born to Rudolph and Mary Kennedy on April 4, 1934, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Boy is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Mary Kennedy, brother Jerry Kennedy, and sister Alice Carbo.

He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Marlene Mary Nata Kennedy and his 3 children, Deborah Kennedy Saavedra (Richard), Marlene Kennedy Brouillette (late Robert Brouillette Sr.), and Kevin Kennedy (Larry Smith). He had 5 grandchildren, Julie Saavedra Breath, Christie Brouillette De Oliveira, Richard Saavedra Jr, Joshua Saavedra, and Robert Brouillette Jr. He also had 10 great grandchildren and 6 great- great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was loved by everyone who knew him. Boy worked as a welder at Albach in Chalmette, Louisiana and owned his own company (Kennedy's Pile Driving) in Slidell, Louisiana.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday, April 2nd, from 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service in his memory beginning at 1:00 P.M. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West Slidell, Louisiana 70460.

Boy will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
