Russell J. Blanchard Jr., age 76, of Lacombe, LA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell J. Blanchard, Sr. and Clara Bergeron Blanchard, his wife; Deborah Braud Blanchard, his Son; Martin O. Blanchard, and his brother Larry Blanchard.

Russell is survived by two sons; Russell J. Blanchard III, and Bennet (Brianna) Blanchard, two daughters; Mindy Blanchard and Jamaya Owens, and many grandchildren: Justin and Aaliya Blanchard, Rylee Blanchard, Carter Blanchard, Owen, Aiden, Devin, and Sophie Randall. He is also survived by two siblings Lonnie Blanchard and Gail Rogers.

Russell was a native of Morgan City, LA. and a longtime resident of Lacombe. He was a graduate of Nicholls State University where he was a collegiate athlete. He worked as an accountant and retired from Texaco. Russell enjoyed a good game of golf and poker. He also loved to watch LSU football. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street Lacombe, LA on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.

Visitation at the church on Monday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
