Russell Patrick Landesman, of Slidell, LA, passed away on Friday, November 8th, 2024, while at his favorite restaurant, Waffle House.

Born January 14th, 1957, to the late Robert and Margaret Landesman, in Kansas City, Missouri, and later moved to Slidell, LA.

He attended Salmen High School, after which he received an associate's degree in Fire Protection Technology from Delgado Community College.

He is survived by his sister, Diana; brothers, Mark and Robert; as well as his son Jonathan, and three grandchildren.

Russell retired from St. Tammany Parish Fire District #1 in Slidell, after 32 years of dedicated service. He had a huge heart and mind. He loved helping people in any and every way that he could and continued to do so throughout his retirement. He had a wide variety of interests and talents, including wood working, leather working, electronics, Amateur Radio, and any type of handyman work.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West (in Forest Lawn Cemetery), Slidell, LA on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 1:00 P.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday after 10:00 A.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
