Scott A Campbell passed away peacefully on the morning of February 13, 2026, in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 70. He was born on February 20, 1955, in Sheldon, Iowa, the son of the late Ernest Henry Campbell and Wanda Margaret (Turnmire) Campbell. His life was a testament to the power of hard work and diligence, as well as fierce dedication to family.

Scott's childhood was spent in his country-home in Iowa, growing-up with surviving siblings Tim Campbell, Peggy (Campbell) Gore, and Boni (Campbell) McDowell, as well as late siblings Sharryl (Campbell) McClung, and Carylee (Campbell) Light. He graduated from Sheldon High School, then from Northwest Iowa Community College, and enlisted in the United States Navy where he worked in the development of the testing and training regimens for future U.S. astronauts, achieving the rank of Petty Officer Second Class.

After leaving the Navy, Scott owned and ran a fireplace installation company in Slidell, LA.  He then entered into the construction industry where he spent the next 40 years building and supervising the construction of hundreds of homes and businesses in New Orleans and surrounding areas. He also served as president of the Goodtimes Race Car Club for a term. Scott would always be found working on cars like his beloved 1968 Chevrolet Impala or showcasing his skills in woodcraft and joinery at his home's detached shop. Scott's lifetime of knowledge, and immense work ethic and leadership qualities allowed him to excel in every position of his life, ultimately retiring from Galo Construction in 2019.

Scott built a life and family around his passions in motorcycles, muscle cars and carpentry. Those that loved him knew his heartwarming personality that could fill any space with his contagious joy. Above all, Scott valued his family and was proud of the legacy built together with his surviving wife, Helen (Burrows) Campbell. Scott is further survived by his siblings, Tim Campbell, Peggy (Campbell) Gore, Boni (Campbell) McDowell, and his children, Ryan (Terese) Campbell and MacLean Campbell. His legacy continues through his surviving grandchildren, Nea Campell, Adelais Campbell, Bowie Campbell, Cathryn Campbell, and Micah Campbell, as well as numerous Nieces, Nephews, and countless others touched by his life.

As we bid farewell to Scott A Campbell, we honor a life defined by purpose and a man surrounded by love. While his physical presence is gone, he lives on in the stories we share and the laughter we remember. His time with us has ended, but the wisdom and kindness he showed will be a constant light to those who surrounded him. The lessons he taught and the examples he set in his life are a legacy our family will cherish for generations.

At a future date, a private ceremony will be held at his home in Slidell, LA.
