Sharon Villars

(January 29, 1947 – November 16, 2025)

Sharon Bartholomew Villars, aged 78, passed away on November 16, 2025, at her son's residence in Metairie, LA. She was born in Diamond, LA on January 29, 1947, to the late Lazard and Rose Bartholomew.

Sharon is proceeded in death by her late husband Fred Villars Sr.; her parents Lazard and Rose, and six of her siblings, Genevieve Shilling, Miriam Bartholomew, Elvina Kolstad, Benny Bartholomew, Annette Landry, and Manuel Bartholomew.

She is survived by her only son Freddie Villars Jr. and his wife Emily Villars; her first born grandson Easton Villars; her brother, Collins Bartholomew, and many nieces and nephews.

Sharon was a lifelong resident of Picayune, MS as well as a devoted member of the Resurrection Life Worship Center. She retired after working for many years as a clerical administrator in a variety of fields.

She lived a life of devotion—to her faith, her family, and her community. She volunteered at the Pines Senior Center, served as an usher at Resurrection Life Church, and was known for her deep Christian faith. She loved to cook for her family and was the heart that kept them close. Sharon dedicated many years to Teen Challenge, helping teenagers find God, and was active in a local widow's group. She enjoyed quiet drives along the Gulf Coast and traveling across the country. Her life was marked by generosity, service, and unwavering love, which she carried with her until her last breath.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Resurrection Life Church, 795 MEMORIAL BLVD, PICAYUNE, MS 39466 on Friday November 21, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation on Friday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral service time.

Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
