Shelia Louise Carter Hudson, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at the age of 71. Daughter of the late Barbara Hayden Carter and Richard Tillman Carter. Survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Lawerence Henry Hudson IV.

Loving mother of Kenneth Ryan Delatte (Crystal), Patrick John Hudson (Laurie), Lawrence Richard Hudson (Tami).

Grandmother of Brittany Michelle Holt, Kristian Ryan Delatte, Arianna Mae Delatte; Claire Marshele Hudson (Gaige), Christopher Patrick Hudson, Trey James Rogers, Peyton Mark Rogers, Brandon Zachary Hudson; Caleb Benjamin Collier (Lindsey), Austin Richard Hudson (Allyson), Mackenzie Elizabeth Hudson.

Great grandmother of Jace Thomas-Asher Andre'; Paisley Elizabeth Hudson (2015), Madelyn Elizabeth Hudson, Emily Elizabeth Collier, Benny Kimball Collier.

She is also survived by her loving Aunt Olga "Dolly" Hayden (Uncle Cliff), cousins Renee McKrill, Lena Morgan, Edward (Bubba) Hayden, and many nieces and nephews.

Shelia was born in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of Slidell, Louisiana. She attended Alcee Fortier High School. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, and traveling after she retired but her greatest joy was being Maw Maw. Shelia will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME,1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 11:00 A.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday after 9:00 A.M. until funeral time.
