Shirley Ann Ziegler Lafitte, 82, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Slidell.

Shirley was born January 17, 1941, in Slidell, Louisiana, to Ward and Laura Ziegler.

In 1963, she married Alced Joseph Lafitte Sr. in Slidell.

She was preceded by her husband of fifty years, Alced Joseph Lafitte; two sister, Janice Cagler, and Annette Ray.

Shirley is survived by four children, Lori Lafitte, Michelle Gomez, Marvin Lafitte (Christina), Alced Lafitte Jr (Ivette); seven grandchildren, Erica Broaders, Alyssia Broaders, Brittany Rodriguez, Celina Collins, Anissa Lafitte, Alced Lafitte III, Angelo Lafitte; two sisters, Lois Campbell, Louella Ordone; brother, Gerald Ziegler; thirteen great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Genevieve Catholic Church, 58203 LA 433, Slidell, 70460, on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Visitation will begin at 10:00am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Slidell.
