Shucri Saul "Saulito" Mustafa Ortega, age 31, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Born September 17, 1993, in Bogota, Colombia, he was the son of Maria Mercedes Mustafa Ortega and Chucre Mustafa Talyi. He was a lifelong resident of the area and enjoyed family time, music, cars, sports, clothing (especially his shoes and hats), food, concerts, and working out. Since he was a kid, he loved anything car related—tires, rims, and car shows were his passion. He previously worked at a car dealership, which he genuinely enjoyed. Shucri was a kindhearted person, an incredibly special soul who touched many lives. Whoever knew Shucri was lucky to have experienced his friendship. Shucri was very family oriented, he loved nothing more than to spend quality time with his family.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include three sisters, Afifa Mustafa, Hanneen Mustafa, and Najwa Mustafa; and a niece Alaia Mustafa-Fernandez. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Afifa Mustafa Talyi and uncle Munir Mustafa. Fly high our guardian angel, we love you.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE Blvd. WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 2:00 P.M.

Visitation at the funeral home on Friday after 12:00 P.M. until funeral time.

Interment will follow in FOREST LAWN CEMETERY.
