Obituary

Susan Engolia DeHart, 77, a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, in Mandeville, Louisiana.

Susan was born March 20, 1947, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to Salvador and Annie Fay Engolia. She was a graduate of F.T. Nicholls High School in New Orleans in 1965. In 1989 she moved to Gulfport, Mississippi, where she worked for Olan Mills, and Grande Casino Gulfport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvador and Annie Fay Engolia; brother, Salvador Engolia Jr; sister, Patricia Ann Buttone (Harold).

She is survived by one brother, Joseph Michael Engolia (Candice); sister-in-law, Charlotte Engolia; niece, Connie Loreau; nephews, Stephen Engolia, Christopher Engolia, Salvador Engolia, Ricky English; and other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, LA.

Visitation will begin at 9:00am, followed by the funeral service at 11:00am.

Burial will be in Military Baptist Church Cemetery in Sumrall, Mississippi, at 2:00pm.
