Susan Bothner, age 73, a beloved mother and friend, passed away on April 21, 2026, in the comfort of her home in Slidell, surrounded by her family. Born on November 8, 1952, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Susan's life was a testament to love, laughter, and dedication to her family and friends.

Susan was a woman of many talents and passions. She spent 35 plus years living abroad accompanying her husband during his time in the petroleum industry.  Everywhere Susan lived she left a lasting impression on the community with friendship and enjoyment and how she lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her loving husband, Norbert, and their two sons: Darren and Brent, along with her sister Deborah Witte and brother Stephen Herbert.

A memorial service to celebrate Susan's life will be held on Saturday the 30th of May at St. Genevieve Church, 58203 LA 433, Slidell, LA 70460.

Visitation starts at 10:00 am with church service starting at 11:00 am.

Immediately following, all will be invited to meet the family during a reception at Palmettos on the Bayou, 1901 Bayou Ln, Slidell, LA 70458.
