Tate John Troyer, 63, a former resident of Slidell, and a resident of Pearl River, Louisiana since 2016, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana.

Tate was born Wednesday, December 13, 1961, in New Orleans, Louisiana, to his late parents Robert and Tanya Troyer.  Tate grew up in New Orleans and Chalmette and attended Holy Cross High School before beginning his career as a restaurant manager. Tate loved to collect antiques and was an avid gardener.  He also loved to cook for his family.

Tate is survived by his wife, Gina Troyer; his children, Adam Troyer, Robert Troyer (Amanda), Melissa Monroe, and Brandon Maxwell; his grandchildren, Griffyn Troyer, Rowan Troyer, Pierson Troyer, Silas Troyer, Myles Troyer, Everly Troyer, Beau Casselberry, and Lucas Riley; his sister, Tanya Troyer Hatch (George); his nephew, Ryan Lazaroe (Meredith, Luca); and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 58516 Pearl Acres Road, in Slidell, Louisiana.  Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with the celebration service to follow at 7:00 pm.
