Terry Mercedes Carbo, age 77, of Lacombe, LA passed away peacefully at home on May 23, 2023. Terry was born in New Orleans on October 1, 1945, to Marie Louise and Wilmer L. Carbo, Sr. She was a graduate of Slidell High School Class of 1963. She attended Louisiana State University New Orleans and went on to receive her law degree from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Terry spent her entire career serving the public as a Pro Se Attorney for the Louisiana Supreme Court in New Orleans .

Terry is survived by her son, Matthew E. Brister, who was the focus of her life; her brothers Wilmer L. "Butch" Carbo, Jr. (Fay) and Kevin L. Carbo, Sr.; and her sister Geralyn Henderson with whom she had a special sisterly bond. She also leaves behind two godchildren, Kim Gannon and Monique Carbo Racer, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert M. "Bob" Carbo (Linda) and Thomas M. Carbo, Sr. (Lisa).

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell, LA. Visitation will be from 9:00AM to 11:00AM with a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment will be immediately following at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, 3421 Esplanade Ave., New Orleans, LA.
