Thomas C. Vicknair, Sr., age 94, went to his eternal rest with the Lord on July 15th, 2026, passing away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family. He was born on July 1st, 1932.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 74 years, Marion Teresa Cortez Vicknair. He leaves behind three children, Lawrence Michael Vicknair (Suzanne), Thomas C. Vicknair, Jr. and Crystal Vicknair, three granddaughters, Abbie Vicknair, Amy Johnson, and Madelynn Farmer (Jimmy), three great grandsons, Zachary Frost, William and Thomas Farmer.

Thomas was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and the proud patriarch of his family. Originally from Sorrento, LA, he moved to Slidell in 1956, where he and Marion built a life together rooted in faith, family, and hard work. He was an active member of Community Christian Church in Slidell, where he faithfully worshipped alongside his wife for many years.

Known for his quiet strength, humility, and generous heart, Thomas found great purpose in providing for his family and helping others whenever he could. Even in his later years, when age limited what he was able to do physically, his greatest gift remained his love, wisdom, and steady presence. His family will forever remember his gentle spirit, unwavering devotion, and the example he set through a life well lived.

The family will be forever grateful for the compassionate care he received from the nurses and staff of Interim Hospice.

Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will continue to live on through the generations that follow.
