Timothy Flynn Patton (74) sadly passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. A resident of Slidell, Louisiana, he was born to Oliver and Shirley Patton in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 4, 1952. The fourth of five Patton children, Timothy is survived by his darling sister Pat, and beloved brother Terry. He was reunited with his parents, sister Gail, and brother Tommy, whom he loved and missed terribly.
A graduate of Chalmette High School and Nicholls State University, Timmy married the love of his life, Rebecca Ester Johnson on May 25, 1974. He always said he fell in love with her in kindergarten, and those who knew them know he was telling the truth. Born next door to each other in the Lower Ninth Ward, Timmy lived for Becky’s happiness till the very end. They were blessed with four children: Sean, Erin, Elyse, and Daniel, as well as four granddaughters: Marley, Maebel, Maisie, and Baby Girl Patton due later this year. His wife and children were his best friends, and his granddaughters were his reward in life.
Tim joined his parents and siblings in the family business, Patton’s Caterers, shortly after college. With his guidance, creativity, and genuine desire to make every event the absolute best, he grew the company beyond its humble roots. He showed us all how to do things the right way, and then how to do things the Patton’s way. For better or for worse, he forged his own path through the unknowns, his family by his side, with grace and a sly smile.
Born into an extended family that is entirely too large and way too loud for anyone’s good, Timmy was an anchor; always present, joyful, and ready for a good time. To know him was to love him; to be known by him, was to be loved by him. In a time when the world is filled with such hate, Timmy was always a beacon of love and kindness.
He is survived by his cherished wife Becky; his loving children Sean, Erin (Thomas), Elyse, Daniel (Lizzy): his granddaughters Marley, Maebel, Maisie, and Baby Girl Patton; his loyal companion Ziva; his sister Pat, brother Terry, and numerous loving cousins, friends, co-workers and wonderful staff who loved him.
Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, in Slidell, Louisiana on Tuesday September 15, 2026.
