Timothy David Reine passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 63, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 13, 1962, Tim lived a life shaped by service, faith, family, and a joyful spirit that brought laughter wherever he went.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, George E. Reine Jr.; his mother, Bertha Elizabeth Miller Reine; his brothers, George E. Reine III and Glen William Reine; his nephew, Scott Ernest Reine; and his sister-in-law, Brenda Reine Bertus, wife of Glen William Reine.

He is survived by his brothers Ronald Walter Reine (Sylvia), Michael Anthony Reine (Carol), and sister-in-law Diane Reine Ciko (George); seven nieces and two nephews; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews; and many, many friends who loved him dearly.

Tim dedicated much of his life to public service and law enforcement. He served with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office, attaining the rank of Corporal in Patrol and Special Operations and later serving as Captain of the Reserve Division. He also served as a Police Officer with the Slidell Police Department in the Patrol Division.

Tim's career further included service as a Deputy Sheriff with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in the Florida Keys, where he worked in Patrol, District II (Key Vaca) and as a Crime Scene Detective, District III (Key Largo). At the state level, he served as an Investigator with the Louisiana Lottery Corporation Security Division during its start-up operations, and later as Chief of Enforcement for Gaming Regulation with the Louisiana Economic Development and Gaming Corporation.

Tim also served the State of Louisiana as a Commissioner with the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, where he held a State Trooper commission and worked closely with law enforcement agencies. His service extended to national and professional roles, including Past President of the Fraternal Order of Police in the Florida Keys, commissioned member of the U.S. Customs Blue Lightning Strike Force and Special Agent with the Louisiana State Police.

A graduate of Holy Redeemer in Lacombe, Tim studied Criminology at Louisiana State University and attended the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff's Academy.

Above all else, Tim was the jovial, fun-loving uncle and the beloved baby brother. Known for his quick wit, love of Christmas, and lifelong devotion to the New Orleans Saints, he made every gathering brighter and every room warmer.

Tim loved God, and his faith was a constant source of comfort, strength, and peace throughout his life.

Tim will be remembered for his warmth, quick wit, generous heart, deep faith, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the holidays he made special, the Saints games he cheered through, and the family and friends who will forever hold him close.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at HONAKER FUNERAL HOME, 1751 GAUSE BLVD WEST (IN FOREST LAWN CEMETERY), Slidell, LA on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 11:00 A.M.
