Violet Baird, 90, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Slidell.

Violet was born September 24, 1933 in Butler, Pennsylvania.  In February of 1991, she moved with her husband to Slidell. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God of Slidell.

Violet loved riding her bike around the nieghborhood and going fishing.  She was loved by everyone and will be missed by everyone she knew.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Baird.

Violet is survived by three children, Margie E. Hacker (Gloria), Ernest Moore (Penny), Laura Jenkins (Richard); five grandchildren, Ashley Jenkins, Michael Moore, Timothy Moore, Angel Moore, Timothy Salyard; eight great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Memorial Services will be held at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd West, Slidell, Louisiana, on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Visitation will begin at 5:00pm followed by the memorial service at 7:00pm.

Burial will be in Biloxi National Cemetery at a later date.
