Virginia Sue Collins, of Slidell Louisiana, passed away on September 21, 2023, at age 79. Virginia, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend was born on February 4,1944 to William and Willie Mae Jones in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Virginia met Jerome Collins Sr and went on to have five children, Kathern Jean Galatas, Carolyn C Fabre, Gerome Francis Collins Jr, Charlotte A Collins, and Theresa A Lacy.

Virginia was preceded in death by her father William A Jones, and Mother Willie Mae Jones; her husband, Jerome Francis Collins Sr; sister, Shirley Gardner (George); brother, William D Jones; sister, Patricia Ann Cortez; brother, Bobby E Jones and daughter Kathern Jean Galatas. She is survived by a daughter Carolyn C Fabre (Chad),  their three children, Reanna F Ragas (Henry), Destiny A Ponder (John), Christian M Depaula; a son Gerome Francis Collins Jr (Robin); their two children, Jerome F Collins III, Esther N Holley (Michael); a daughter, Charlotte A Collins,  her child, Makayla R Collin; a daughter, Theresa A Lacy (Harrold), children Rachel Malone (James),  Brandon Lacy;  and 18 great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Slidell Christ Gospel church located 3228 City Dr., Slidell, LA 70458 on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 6:00pm until 9:00pm.
