Virginia Silvestri Welty, of Lacombe, LA, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the age of 95.

She was born in New Orleans on October 4, 1928, to the late Joseph Silvestri and Mary Musso Silvestri.  She was the wife of the late Ronald August Welty, Sr.  Virginia is survived by her son Ronald Jr. (Elizabeth), granddaughter Katie Bergeron (Hampton), grandson Sam Welty (Becca), and great grandsons Jullian and Jamie Bergeron.

After graduating Annunciation High School, Virginia worked several decades at American Standard on the New Orleans lakefront while also assisting with her husband's business, Ronald Welty Heating and Air Conditioning since 1968.  Besides caring for her extended family, her passions included sewing, cooking and refinishing furniture.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Catholic Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 28088 Main Street, Lacombe, LA on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 10:30 A.M.  Friends may visit at the Church on Saturday beginning at 9:00 A.M.

Interment will follow in St. Roch Cemetery #1 in New Orleans.
